Detailed Itinerary
1. We’ll start the morning on bicycles, leaving the busy streets behind and heading into the quiet countryside. The ride takes about twenty minutes, with rice fields stretching out on both sides, water buffalo grazing, and locals waving as you pass by. It’s the kind of ride that makes you slow down and simply enjoy the moment.
2. Our first stop is Kim Bong Carpentry Village. This village has a long story – generations of craftsmen who once built boats and carved the old wooden houses of Hoi An. You’ll hear the sound of chisels, smell the fresh wood, and watch the masters at work. Then comes the fun part: try carving your own name into a small wooden piece and take it home as a unique souvenir.
3. Next, we’ll visit a local family to see how they make rice paper noodles. It looks simple when they do it, but once you try, you’ll see it takes real skill! The steam rising from the rice sheets and the warm aroma make the experience unforgettable.
4. Before heading back, we’ll spend time with another family who still weave traditional sleeping mats. They’ll show you how to thread the colorful reeds through the loom and let you try it yourself. More than just weaving, it’s a chance to laugh together, listen to their stories, and get a real glimpse of daily village life in Hoi An.
